Designing Your Matrix A Guide For Customer Placement Senior Director Eva-Maria Phillips
We are all customers but some of us are also leaders Customers who make referrals can be leaders or customers Leaders take responsibility for all members within their 5 x 7 matrix Responsibilities of the Enroller Responsibilities of the Marketing Executive Responsibilities of the Support Team Some Basic Definitions
What Does a Matrix Look Like?
Tips for Placement Designate a “Friends & Family” leg Place a leader under a leader, NOT under a customer Place customer under customer Try not to place personals below your 3 rd level Leave at least 2 positions open on your front line until you reach Director VI Never try to turn a customer into a leader by placing leaders under them Never promise to build someone’s business for them
More Tips Your first customer must go on your front line, but you can move them during the month. Work on your customer leg until you find a strong potential business partner Look for 2 – 3 serious leaders to place on your front line (you may not find them right away, but don’t settle for anything less!) Feed the active – place leaders under leaders Never put a “3” under a “1” to try to get the “1” going!
Identifying Your New Customers Serious Business Builder (Leader) Joins as a category 3 with a Pacesetter pack of products and business kits to have on hand for their own new customers Takes immediate action to become a Director ASAP Business Builder (Leader) Joins as a category 2 with a Value or Career Pack Purchases just a few business kits Commits to having some one-on-ones & in-homes Customer Enrolls as a cat. 1, 2 or 3 Does not purchase the Value or Career Pack Makes no immediate plans to start a contact list or set appointments
Moving Customers After Placement Free within calendar month of joining Next 2 calendar months – Charge of $12 per person per move – Limit of 12 members per leg – Counts include non-preferred members Online move tool found under Enrolment tab, last option on list Draw a plan on paper and consult with your mentor before paying for moves!!
After Month Three Yes it's possible but not recommended Expensive and complicated Requires agreement of all leaders in the 7 levels above because it affects paychecks Requires approval by Melaleuca Consult with mentor before considering this
Words of Wisdom No one has a perfect matrix so be flexible and learn to live with less than perfect This is an art, not a science All rules have exceptions Actions count more than words – What they SAY they’re going to do and what they actually DO are two different things
