Copyright 1999, S.D. Personick. All Rights Reserved. Term Paper Tips: Pick your topic early, and get it approved by SDP. Pick a topic that you are interested in. No collaboration with classmates or colleagues. Your topic should be some aspect of emerging telecommunications technology, applications, or research Writing a 2-page term paper is harder than writing a 5-page term paper

Copyright 1999, S.D. Personick. All Rights Reserved. Term Paper Tips: Don’t wait until the last minute to write your term paper…you will almost surely do poorly on what represents 33% of the raw score that will be used to calculate your grade You are expected to do research (reading) to support your term paper; and you must provide a list of references that you have thoroughly read and thought about (not included in the 2-page limit)

Copyright 1999, S.D. Personick. All Rights Reserved. Term Paper Tips: You may submit one 2-page draft of your term paper to SDP for comments. This is optional Consider writing your paper without worrying about the page limit; and then extracting the most important messages to include in the 2-page version Microsoft Word, font size 12, single spaced, 1” margins. Get help, if needed, on grammar! Check your spelling.
