 Mexican artist use bright colors and lots of designs.  Lots of artist sell their work at markets.  Artist make pottery,clay figures, and oven baked blankets.  A lot of famous painters come from Mexico.  Ancient Indians built super flat topped pyramids and stone temples.  The temples are carved of gods and murals.

 Day of the dead is on Nov 2.  Day of the dead came from Europe.  People bring food,gifts,and candles.  In the ninth century it was introduced to Mexico.  Also girls dance with flower baskets on their heads on festive events.  In Mexico any day of the year there is a fiesta in at least one town.

 Mexicans have a corn stew recipe and it is over a 1,000 years old.  Hot chocolate came from Mexico.  They drink lots of coffee.  Its strong so they use lots of sugar.  Tomatoes, and potatoes came from Mexico.

 In Mexico soccer is really popular.  In soccer they were ranked 14 th in the world.  Yong boys play in the junior league.  Mexico hosted the world cup in1970, and  Baseball is popular too.  United states introduced it to Mexico over 50 years ago.

 One of the biggest changes was the language changed.  A dozen Native languages were spoken.  Today some people speak the native language in rural areas.  Today Spanish is the national language.

 A famous music is mariachi.  A special instrument is a guitar.  The guitar has a thin neck and a big body.  A guitar makes a deep clear sound.  A vincula is played in mariachi also.  The vincula makes a high pitch sound.  Mariachi is played at events.
