IUCN REGIONAL NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM PACO 2015 SARAH OVER PRESENTS THE 2016 WORLD NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM  The third day of the IUCN Nature conservation forum Bamako 2015, begin with the presentation of the Sarah Over, the Communication Officer of IUCN, on the 2016 World Nature Conservation Forum coming up in September  Sarah Over focused her intervention on the vote for the IUCN president and on the proposed motions to be adopted. She briefly explained the methods and processses of how the elections would be carried out and how to determine the winning candidate. IUCN REGIONAL NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM PACO 2015 SARAH OVER PRESENTS THE 2016 WORLD NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM  Sarah Over also gave a brief program for the proposal of motions to be elected at the Hawaii conference and the various processes.  It would implicate from now up to the voting process in the conference as follows :  June to December 2015 : debate on motions in regional forums;  November January 2016 : online submission of motions ;  May to August 2016 : online debate of all motions ;  During the congress : voting of motions. IUCN REGIONAL NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM PACO 2015 THE 2016 WORLD NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM  Madam Mouzong described the upcoming world congress as “10 DAYS PROCESS TO CHANGE THE WORLD”.  Ten days to change the world, because the congress serves as a market place to give and to receive, it will be an opportunity to show case, look for partners.  Secondly, the theme of the congress and its objectives which are amongst others focused on reinforce Hawaii’s biodiversity. IUCN REGIONAL NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM PACO 2015 PROGRAM FOR MOTION ADOPTION AT HAWAII 2016  Another attraction at Hawaii would include the forum with various activities such as workshops, pictures exhibitions, etc.  The reservation of stands at Hawaii would start before the end of 2015 as well as registration of participants.  The question on who votes and the number of votes entitled to participants depends on the category of membership. IUCN REGIONAL NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM PACO 2015 PROPOSED MOTIONS  Four discussion groups were constituted to come up with variuos motions, to be modified and sent for the region.  After about one hour of discussion, proposed motions where ready. They included amongst others, the establishment of a regional red list for protected species, restoration and rehabilitation of the ecosystem. IUCN REGIONAL NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM PACO 2015 PRESENTATION OF CREMACO AND ELECTION OF CREMACO PRESIDENT  The president of CREMACO, Mr Isaac Issa presented the CREMACO, its challenges and strengths.  This presentation was closely followed by the debate on how to proceed to revive CREMACO. The question on electing a new bureau was discouraged by members as they came up with various proposals.  After a long debate, it was concluded that the present bureau should continue existing why a committee of three members volunteered to study and make recommendations as regards to this. IUCN REGIONAL NATURE CONSERVATION FORUM PACO 2015 PRESENTATION OF PACO COMMUNICATION TOOLS  In her exposé, Felicité Mangang of PACO presented the communication tools of PACO which include traditional and modern tools: website, union portal, newsletter (media echo), twitter, facebook, radio environnement, annual reports, blogs, etc.  She also cleared the problem of logo use and insisted that there is a logo for partners, members.
