Lesson Summary We can’t take a 1 st grade social studies class to Washington DC, so a virtual field trip is the second best thing. Virtual field trips open the world to infinite learning opportunities. This site is both information, kid-friendly, and fun to explore. The videos and panorama are easy to use and teach kids all about Lincoln’s presidency, the 1860s, and the Lincoln memorial. Abraham Lincoln was an important president to our history and this website helps kids learn all about him. This lesson both involves technology, arts and crafts, and is packed full of Lincoln’s history!
