 In BIM we will use Pearson online text which the students can access from home. The link is found on my website.  Students will learn the following topics:  Word  Access  Excel  PowerPoint  Publisher

 The majority of work will be completed in class and consist of daily work, projects, quizzes and a few tests.  Daily work is 50% of their grade and projects/tests are 50% of their grade.  Students will be expected to be present at the end of each semester as they are required to take a semester exam. This exam is worth 20% of their semester grade and is required of any high school credited class.

 Grading Late Work for Advanced Courses – The goal of the campus policy is to make sure that students complete their work. Late work is any assignment that is not turned in the date it is due as long as the student is not absent that day.  Any work that is deemed turned in late will be for a maximum grade of a 70.  Grading for Re-doing Work due to failure for all courses (69 and below)  Any work that is 69 and below, may be rework for a maximum score of a 70.

 To join my Remind 101 text group to get text reminders of when projects and tests are due.  Enter (754) and  Or  Or visit

 STEM is a project based class that focuses on getting students interested in the field of engineering.  Most of the work performed in this class is group or partner based.  The only supply that we require is a white T-shirt, students may be asking for other supplies to assist them in the construction of their projects.

 Students will create projects based on the following engineering fields; mechanical, aerospace, chemical, civil, biotechnical, and electrical.  Grades will taken out of a 100% scale.

 Some of the projects that students can expect to design and construct are:  Mouse trap cars  Popsicle stick bridges  Lego robots  Creating circuits  A mine shaft  Parachutes  Lunar Lander  Prosthetic limb  Spaghetti Tower  and more
