On Site Catering: Chefs, cooks, bussers and managers can all be employed at the place where the catering is The Kitchen, dishwasher, employees are all in the same building as the place that the catered event happens Examples: Schools, hospitals, nursing homes, Eurest Dining Services-business meeting caterings

Off Site Catering: Cooks food from their centralized kitchen and delivers it to the event Examples of catered events: Weddings, birthdays, religious celebrations, business meetings, company parties

Advantages of Catering Vs a restaurant: Know in advance how many guests Know how much of each type of food to prepare Decreases waste for food and labor If the client cancels: You still get paid!
