Questions& Thesis How do kids get involved in gangs and/or gang violence? What kind of violence? How often? What are the results of gang violence? LA, NY and Chicago are not the only cities with gang violence, and gang violence is more than just the things you see in movies.

How do kids get involved in gangs? “Young people, often orphaned or abandoned by their parents, form gangs to support themselves. ”(Gang violence) “Families pay a heavy toll when their children become involved in gangs, many children are killed, many more are incarcerated” (Gang Violence)

What kind of violince? How often? “Gang violence, can take the form of street fights, where members use clubs, knives and brass knuckles (Baers) “ In 2006, just over 50% of law enforcement across the country reported an increase in gang violence” (Baers)
