When Reading Non-Fiction… Pay attention to: How does the author use the text structures to help me learn new information? What are the interesting facts/ideas that stand out? Does the author raise any questions that I should answer? What do you think this means: “We read to learn, and then write, and talk to teach.” “We read to learn, and then write, and talk to teach.”

Thinking about Non-fiction text… Imagine that you were going to write a non-fiction text about a topic of your choice.
