Texas STaR CHART Key Scale 4 – Target Tech – Totals – Advanced Tech – Totals – Developing Tech – Totals Early Tech – Totals 6-8

Key Area Summary – PSJA HS New equipment, resources, etc. were provided to teachers without value. Teachers need to be taught how to use all of equipment provided. School undergoing many changes with administration.

Teaching and Learning Key Area Focus - TL Teachers are provided workshops, how to us technology in class. Cross- curricular, collaborative work, etc.

Educator Preparation & Development Key Area Focus - EP Attending less than 9 hours annually. Focus wasn’t on technology staff development. Teachers understand basic operations. Teachers lack knowledge. Not effective staff dev. on online learning.

Leadership, Administration, and Instructional Support Key Area Focus - L School undergoing changes. Focus wasn’t on technology. Lack of fund for implementation of technology. Online learning not available to the students.

Infrastructure for Technology Key Area Focus - INF New school, reorganizing, new equipment, no distribution. Not enough time to accommodate all teachers, other problems. Not always working, teachers sometimes cant use WAN/LAN to use applications.

Recommendations Better Planning Effective Staff Developments Reiterate the importance of technology – Value to teachers. Administration – Better planning, more support. Staff development by subject- how can I use tech. within my content? Campus image – technology available, but don’t know how to use it.
