Welcome to the 1 st SEA Member Meeting September 22, 2014

Welcome Our New Advisors Ken Fansler and Sandra Osorio

Talk to Your Neighbor Turn to someone next to you or in groups and introduce yourselves. Say your Name, Year in School, and Major. Talk for about five minutes to get to know each other a little bit.

Social Tie Dye Social- Friday October 3 rd - 1-4pm on the quad outside DeGarmo- Bring your white SEA t-shirt or anything you would like to tie dye. We will also be selling white SEA shirts to tie dye. More events to come

Volunteer World wide day of play- September 27 th - Normal Parks and Recreation-8:30-12:30 and Children’s Discovery Museum-8-3 Sign up will be at the end of the meeting- See an executive member IEA Student Program Volunteer Log Post all volunteer hours to this log and it will be recorded and compared with schools across the state

President Larry Dietz Larry Dietz became the 19 th president of Illinois State University March 22, He came to the University in June 2011 as vice president for Student Affairs. He led the Division of Student Affairs, which includes the Dean of Students Office, Student Health Services, Student Counseling Center, University Housing Services, Disability Concerns, Career Center, Campus Dining Services, Campus Recreation, Bone Student Center and Braden Auditorium, Student Affairs Information Technology, Health Promotion and Wellness, and the University Police, as well as other units. He is also a tenured associate professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Foundations.

Dr. Brian Horn Dr. Brian Horn is a assistant professor in the school of teaching and learning. Brian's research interests include urban schooling; critical literacy; and the narrative approach to action research. Brian received his B.S.E in Elementary and Early Childhood education from Emporia State University. He also has received his M.ED in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education and his PHD in Curriculum, Teaching and Education Policy from Michigan State University.
