How to make my account private? Why should I do this? Tracking Teresa Video Created by netsmartz.org Netsmartz.org. (2001). Tracking Teresa. Video You can find this video by going on google.com and typing in “tracking teresa video” – Great source for cyber safety!

Some more facts.. About 43% of kids have been bullied online. 1 in 4 has had it happen more than once 70% of students report seeing frequent bullying online 68% of teens agree that cyber bullying is a serious problem 81% of young people think bullying online is easier to get away with them bullying in person Only 1 in 10 victims will report online bullying 73% of teens says the best way to stop bullying is to step in when you see it * dosomething.org, cyber-bullyinghttp:// cyber-bullying

What to Do Don't Reply: You should never reply to messages that harass or annoy you. The bully wants to know they have upset their target. If they get a response it feeds into the problem and makes things worse. Keep the Messages: By keeping nasty messages you will be able to produce a record of the bullying, the dates and the times. This will be useful for any subsequent school or legal investigation

What to Do (cont.) Block the Sender: No one needs to put up with someone harassing them. Whether it’s phones or social networking, you can block contacts through service providers Report Problems: Reports any instances of cyberbullying to a trusted adult.

ASK.FM There have been numerous reports in the media and online of significant levels of bullying on the service and there is also sexualized content. And it's obvious that the site's anonymous nature is taken advantage of by bullies who want to inflict psychological and emotional harm without facing the consequences. Anonymous nature also draws on line predators

ASK.FM Has very few privacy controls which mean that both questions and answers can be viewed by anyone, even non-users of the site. Public is the default setting and there does not appear to be an option to change this: once a post is published it is publicly accessible.
