Commission asked for information on MSTU-U collected within Route 7 and Route 75 areas. MSTU-U collected within a ½ mile: Route 7 = $23,835 Route 75 = $453,121 MSTU within Service Areas
Current County Share of Routes 69,090 hours of fixed route service in the unincorporated area Value of this service at proposed rate is $1,709,230 County expected contribution/fee at existing service level is $903,684 Balance of unincorporated area service is funded through UF and Santa Fe College
RTS has conducted a Home-Work Trip study in 2015 Route 75 to Route 1 has best job coverage with a single transfer (Covers 428 jobs). Staff proposes extending span of service on weekends to provide for better coverage for shift workers. Home-Work Trips
Focus on Route 75 and Route 1 which provides service from the Tower Road Area to Oaks Mall, Butler Plaza, Shands/UF Health, the University and Downtown. Increase span of service to those whose shift work requires a 7 AM-7 PM shift on weekends. Staff proposes holiday service on remaining unincorporated area routes to meet rider requests/expectations.
