Angles

 TODAY’S STANDARD: TODAY’S STANDARD:  CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.7.G.5 Use facts about supplementary, complementary, vertical, and adjacent angles in a multi-step problem to write and solve simple equations for an unknown angle in a figure. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.7.G.5  Your goal is to demonstrate your mastery of this topic by scoring at least 75% on an exit ticket.

 Our next unit is about shapes and requires knowledge of a lot of vocabulary terms.  On Thursday/Friday, we are having a vocabulary quiz about angles. This will be a summative grade.  You will be given the answers word for word today. You simply need to memorize them.

 When naming angles with 3 letters, make sure the order of the letters traces out the actual angle. The vertex, or corner, is always the middle letter.

Create a 4-column chart in your notes

This is what your vocabulary quiz will look like. Study and memorize the chart!

Direct Station  We will use Educreations to work on various angle problems. The problems are located on my staff webpage.  We will use a tracker to make sure everyone is on task on doing well on the problems.

Independent Station  You will make the corrections on the Unit 2 Assessment that we took last week.  Open up the pdf in Links for December 1 st /2 nd on my webpage.  You need to write down the explanation and answer for any problems you did not get full credit on.  Keep your test out because I am going to send a student around to help make sure that everyone is actually doing the corrections.  There is also a Google Form with questions similar to the test problems.
