Inhalants  Inhalants are drugs with intoxicating vapors that are breathed in without burning or heating  Most inhalants exist legally for other purposes  Usually sprayed into a plastic bag then “huffed” or inhaled directly from an open container  Has properties of stimulants, depressants, and hallucinogens  Does not fall in any single category

Examples of Inhalants  Petroleum products (gasoline, propane, butane)  Household chemicals (paint thinner, glue)  Nail polish remover  Nitrous oxide (NOS)  Aerosol cans (hairspray, deodorant)
