Training Programme 2002 Commences 6th February Stage 1Feb/March Stage 2April Stage 3May/November

Training Objective: Year1 To introduce a more structured professional type training programme that will concentrate on the development of hurling skills aswell as physical fitness.

Stage 1 Physical Mixture of endurance, physical and speed work 7.30 on Wed 8.30 on Fri 1hr duration Beep test 1 Hurling School of Hurling lasting 6 weeks with 6 different coaches. Purely focused on skill development Commences 16th Feb

Stage 2 Physical Endurance and Speed reaction training. 45 mins Hurling 30 mins drills pre physical work Challenge games as much as possible. Hurling weekend away

Stage 3 Physical Mainly speed/reaction, some endurance Duration 30 mins Beep test 2 Hurling Varied hurling drills Back and Forwards 30 mins each Challenges will be arranged as much as possible
