Discovering the water cycle Lesson Objective – Students will review the water cycle and learn the set up of a separation lab

What is the water cycle?

Evaporation… Water changes into water vapor

Evaporation… Water vapor rises

Transpiration… Water vapor moves out through leaves

Condensation… Water vapor changes into water drops

Precipitation… Water drops fall from the clouds

Run Off… Water runs along the ground

Infiltration… Water soaks into the ground

Transpiration… Water is drawn up through the tree

Water Cycle Worksheet Get out your water cycle worksheet and read through the experiments that you will be conducting in the lab.
