T HE H OMES The houses were called Pueblos At first they we’re made from stone and adobe. Adobe is a type of clay that hardens like cement. The Anazias later built similar homes, inside and around cliff walls. They are called dwellings, and some are in Mesa Vede National park in Colorado. This is a cliff palace in Mesa Verde, Colarodo

T HEIR P OTTERY They created clay pots. They use them to cook, serve, and store their food. They decorated the pots with geometric designs and pictures of living creatures. Here are some images of the Southwest American Indians’ pottery-

C LIMATE /W EATHER The usual climate in the southwest is hot or warm and it’s always sunny! And it never rains or snow Plus it’s the hottest region in the USA

T HE C LOTHES They embroidered designs on they’re clothing. They used berries to color they’re clothing in colors such as: orange, yellow, red, green, and black.
