Mini Concert Welcome to

WYfC aims:

Youth For Christ (YFC) is a National Christian charity which aims to bring the good news relevantly to every young person in this country! YFC works with different churches, schools and in the community offering programmes and activities to introduce and support young people’s growth in the Christian faith. Wandsworth YFC is based at East Hill Baptist Church and will aim to work with and support local churches in all aspects of youth ministry. We are currently outreaching into the community. Whilst we aim to support young people who have a faith in Christ, we will support the needs of all young people regardless of their faith. The main aim of YFC is to: Bring the good news relevantly to every young person in Wandsworth. Support all aspects of a young person’s spiritual development including support for social, emotional and physical needs, with particularly the advancement of education and relieving of poverty. To empower and support young people to outreach to their peers e.g. through bible study, building relationships, offering youth led events and by young people inviting their friends to see and explore Christian life. A place for them to have fun!

May 2012 WYfC Concert at the Civic Suite Attended by the Mayor of Wandsworth

Youth for Christ Wandsworth had a amazing youth concert in May Young people from Wandsworth schools and community joined in this event. Young people received certificates from Youth for Christ Wandsworth giving out by Mayor of Wandsworth. Young people received certificates under the following categories outstanding achievement, citizenship award and volunteering in the community. The evening was packed by performances by young people and churches from Wandsworth.

Chocolate making Last year during the summer holidays the young people learnt how to make homemade chocolate. The young people learnt a basic and healthy way to make chocolate

YfC Wandsworth guitar lessons and singing workshops. The young people really enjoyed these workshops. YfC Wandsworth had about young people involved in these workshops. Music Workshop

Wednesday Night Football Wednesday night Football seems to be more popular and more and more young people continue to join every year. Every Wednesday night Football In Wandsworth from 6 pm-7 pm. HANDY BOYS AND CO Set up by a young person in 2012 with the help of WYfC

Handy Boys and Co. Handy Boys and Co. are a small business that have been set up by a young person named Scott Bates. Scott has been working really hard in getting young people together and training them up to help the community in decorating and odd jobs that need to be done that sometimes we have no time to do as adults. So far Scott and the team have helped out in decorating, odd jobs that need to be done, gardening, flooring and de cluttering people’s homes that live in Wandsworth. Scott and the team have worked really hard in the last year and a half and it has made a big difference in people’s lives. Fashion and Design Social Enterprise

Fashion Social Enterprise Wandsworth Youth for Christ raised funds to start up a girls Fashion and Design social enterprise. WYfC have been working with a group of young girls aged between year olds. The young girls design and make and put on a fashion show and possibility in the future can make 25% income on their sold garments. This is a pilot scheme and if any young people or youth groups are interested in getting involved please contact Deepika on or please fill in a form on WYfC website yfcwandsworth.co.uk.

Youth Concert 2014 Friday 14th March 2014 Wandsworth Youth for Christ and The Wandsworth Partnership Trust had a Youth concert evening recognizing young people’s achievements by presenting them with awards. The evening was packed with music, awards ceremony, poem by a young person and a sermon by Pastor Ray on Masks. It was a good evening and it was good to see the amount of young people that had received awards for their achievements. Wandsworth Youth Concert would like to say a BIG THANK YOU TO EAST HILL BAPTIST CHURCH AND CLAPHAM BAPTIST CHURCH AND YOUNG PEOPLE THAT WERE INVOLVED IN the worship team.

Young people building confidence and self esteem Drama and Singing With Cherly Capel and Renee

During this Summer WYfC worked with young people that have been bullied in the past and the present and the point of these workshops was to build up their self esteem and confidence. WYfC had worked with the young people in Drama and singing skills with a volunteer youth worker Cheryl and Renee young person doing work experience with us. WYfC continued to work with few of the young people in September to December 14 that previously joined us in the Summer

Saturday 13 th December 2014 WYfC had put on a Mini Concert that the Mayor of Wandsworth had attended to give out certificate to young people and our volunteers certificates. Big thank you from the trustees to Cherly, Renee working on the songs with the young people. Thank you to the young people for putting on amazing mini concert.
