SOULLESS By: Gail Carriger

My book Is Called “Soulless”. Gail Carriger is the author of this book The genre is comedy, and mostly urban fantasy. There are other genre’s too but these are the main ones.

Alexia Tarabotti is laboring under a great many social tribulations. First, she has no soul. Second, she's a spinster whose father is both Italian and dead. Third, she was rudely attacked by a vampire, breaking all standards of social etiquette. Then Alexia accidentally kills the vampire - and then the appalling Lord Maccon (loud, messy, gorgeous, and werewolf) is sent by Queen Victoria to investigate. With unexpected vampires appearing and expected vampires disappearing, everyone seems to believe Alexia is responsible. Can she figure out what is actually happening to London's high society? Will her soulless ability to negate supernatural powers be useful or just plain embarrassing? Finally, who is the real enemy. Read the book if you want to know what happens. I will not give details. So check it out!!!

The point of view is uncertain. It is dependent on whom the story is told. There are many point of views.

Some of the conflicts include:Some of the conflicts include:  Internal Conflict- Alexia doesn’t know what the people want from her. She has problems with some people in the story.  The fact that some of the people are deciding whether they can trust Alexia to be responsible, and if she can handle all of the expectations from everyone.  There are some different disagreements between Alexia and certain people in the story. She has some strong opinions on selective issues. * * There are more many different conflicts but these are the basics of the story that have a lot to do with the story.

 The main characters are……… Alexia Terrabotti Lord Maccon Queen Elizabeth Professor Lyall Lord Akeldama

The author mostly uses the skill of foreshadowing. You can always expect the story to be unpredictable though.

I like the fact that it always was a mystery and it got more interesting every time I turned the page. I have never read anything more interesting than this book. I didn’t like the fact that there could have been more contact between the characters when there should have been. The most contact was when it was talking the minor problems or just stuff that didn’t have a major role in the story.

I recommend this book to mature teens and some adults that love urban fantasy and mystery books that always keep you guessing in the story. Anyone who is interested, GO CHECK IT OUT!!!!!
