Discovering Margin Luke 10:38-42

How many of you are overworked, over-scheduled, overburdened and overwhelmed? How many of you feel like you’re being pulled in a million different directions?

How many of you are tired of being tired? simplify your life and still get things done? How many of you would love to simplify your life and still get things done?

What is Margin? “The amount available beyond what is necessary.” Andy Stanley

Focus The results of “margin-less” living How to live in margin

Results who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. Luke 10:38-39 distracted But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. Luke 10:40a Martha was self-deluded

She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” Luke 10:40 Results Martha was resentful

But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! Luke 10:41 Final Result Martha was “stressed out”

Stress is a Killer Heart disease Obesity Diabetes Chronic headaches Depression and anxiety Gastrointestinal problems Accelerated aging Premature death

How? one thing Mary has discovered it, There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life. The Spirit alone gives eternal life.
