Popular Target Companies  DirecTV  Dish Network  AT&T

Fines and Punishments  If your just intercepting the signal you get a $2,000 fine and 6 months in prison  If you are intercepting for personal gain you get a $50,000 fine and 2 years in prison

Court Cases  DirecTV, has sent about 10,000 legal notices to people around the country in the past six months demanding that they stop using devices that decrypt satellite signals or face civil or criminal prosecution.
