Today’s Session Introductions User Story Development –Telling the stories –Identifying task sequences Grouping the stories

User Story Development Two teams act as role Write the story on a post-it note –Short statement –Notes Tell the story Write each step on a separate post-it Put up in sequence (Primary Path) Discuss!

Enters Details Submits Details Views Results Can look for a job that fits a criteria John is looking for a job that fits his preferred salary range

Splitting “Epics” Some stories can be too large: Epics Need Splitting into two or more stories –i.e. “A user can search for a job” can split into: “A user can search for jobs by attributes like location, salary range etc. “A user can view information about each job that is matched by a search” “A user can view detailed information about a company that has posted a job” Usually indicated by too many task steps (more than four)

Story Grouping Think about whether stories are naturally related Place them in groups Name the groups
