ICS presents Collins Correctional Facility

Collins Correctional Facility Mission Statement: Today’s society has captivated the hearts of many young adults along with older generations. Nevertheless, among these individuals there are also those who have undergone a troubled childhood and have come face to face with the criminal justice system. In order to prevent future problems and create a prosperous society it is an asset that we focus on the importance of rehabilitating our prisoners. Our mission is designed to help educate and provide opportunities for our fellow inmates in order to provide a better life when prisoners become released from our prison. Not only that, while at our prison, inmates will have the opportunity to gain an education and go to classes which will be in the best interest of the prisoner. The architect layout of our prison will be designed to have high quality security to prevent any break outs or escape. We will include cameras on every corner and surround our fences with electric rods.

Deterrence Taking responsibility for ones actions and accepting the consequences builds character and works in prevention. Criminals are required to research the crime which they have committed with strong relation to the damages it causes emotionally, socially and economically.Criminals are required to research the crime which they have committed with strong relation to the damages it causes emotionally, socially and economically. To ensure that the criminal feels responsible for his actions, victim/criminal conferences are strongly encouraged, under safe supervision, so the victim/victims relatives or friends have a chance to personally express their feelings about the criminals wrong doings. Criminals also have an equal opportunity to tell their side of the story. The idea is to create an understanding on both sides. To ensure that the criminal feels responsible for his actions, victim/criminal conferences are strongly encouraged, under safe supervision, so the victim/victims relatives or friends have a chance to personally express their feelings about the criminals wrong doings. Rehabilitation Once the criminal has truly accepted responsibility for wrongdoing then the process of making a better person can begin. An important aspect of the Collins Correctional Facility is returning the tax payers money back into the economy by having prisoners participate in productive work. The placement of the work would depend on the prisoners experience, education and level of threat. Examples could include construction, farming, cooking. An important aspect of the Collins Correctional Facility is returning the tax payers money back into the economy by having prisoners participate in productive work.
