Starter You need to log onto the computer and create in your area a folder called ‘WorkSkills’ Within this folder you then need to create another folder called ‘Unit 1’ and another called ‘Unit 3’

About the course You are studying ‘Edexcel Level 1 or 2 certificate in WorkSkills’ To pass this course with a Level 2 qualification, you must; Gain a total of 13 credits (each unit is worth 1, 2 or 3 credits) You must achieve at least 8 credits at Level 2 to be awarded a Level 2 qualification A Level 2 qualification is worth the equivalent of a grade B at GCSE You will achieve a Level 1 qualification if 8 or more units are at Level 1, again you need 13 credits and this is equivalent to a E/F

Units studied Over the 3 years, you will study a number of different units, including; Enterprise Employability skills Managing your own money Working in a team Searching for a job Preparing for work placement

Task Has everyone chose a charity from the list? I now want you to create an information factsheet on your chosen charity. It must include; – The company name & charity number – What they do – What you could do to raise money for them – Who they help – How much money they have raised – Any other information you feel is relevant Remember you are trying to show me how well you can work – make sure you put in maximum effort!
