The Pennies’ Help of Last Year Last year we were able to raise a lot of pennies, thanks to all of the people that helped us raise pennies. Those pennies were to be given to two food pantries here in New York. Those two were Mary Queen of Heaven Food Pantry and Our Lady of Refuge Food. The pennies were able to help those two major food pantries give people food that couldn’t afford the money because of economical changes. But first those two food pantries were not that successful in giving food to enough people, but now, they can give up to more than 300 people food in ONE month!!!!!!!

Our Lady Of Refuge Food Pantry Our Lady Of Refuge Food Pantry The Our Lady of Refuge Food Pantry is also serving people as well as the other food pantry that I have just stated. The food pantry first opened in 1988, and has now been serving for over 23 years in total. Of course, it serves all kinds of people, including people from other states as well. Since they can’t and don’t get to ask for where a person comes from, they just hand over the food. The people that work there give emergency food to people that really need it. This all is because of one reason: economical changes. Now, more and more people lose jobs and aren’t able to afford to get food from outside restaurants and other places. But when there is no other option left for them, they are given food from these food pantries. Then, they don’t have to worry about going extremely hungry. Neither do they have to worry about starving to death already. First, they couldn’t give food to a lot of people in one month, and unsuccessfully only got to give 100 people food per month. But now, thanks to us and the 300 of the best clients, the food pantry can now give 300 people food per month!

What I Am Asking For This year, we are asking you again to help us raise pennies this year, and I am already brining together my pennies.
