OPERATIONS MANUAL STEP 1 – BASICS! MUMS IN FRANCHISE

START A CONTENTS PAGE If you are doing the document on a computer get a master document started. Get it saved & backed up! Start by having page 1 as a contents page, you can then add your contents as you go along to ensure that it is not a massive job at the end & decide how you are going to work your numbering of paragraphs & pages you can create a front cover now or later down the line. This can be done by you or a Virtual Assistant if you use them to typeset the document & make it beautiful in due course.

KEY CONTACTS Who are the key contacts for your franchisees in your business How can they contact you if they have issues When are they contactable

STATEMENT OF COPYRIGHT A statement saying that you own the copyright for the franchise Operations Manual “The copyright to this manual belongs to and this manual must not be disclosed, copied or in any other way released to any persons who are not party to the Franchise Agreement made between the franchisor & the franchisee”

HOW TO USE THE OPERATIONS MANUAL The aim of the document “the aim of this document is to provide you with all the advice, help, information & support you will need to set up your franchise and operate that franchise on an ongoing basis.” Updates to the document “this document will be reviewed & updated on a regular basis by the franchisor and updates will be communicated to you expeditiously”
