Nature The topic that I have decided to do is nature, I am going to be taking pictures of nature and all things to do with nature for example trees, plants, flowers, leaves, animals, sea and sand. The two nature artists that inspire me and what I am going to use in my work I really like Imogen Cumminghams work because she uses a lot of black an white and most of her pictures are trees and plants. I am also going to inspire my work with tony sweet photography of nature because it is different to Imogen Cumminghams nature pictures with the black and white but tonys is all colourful and bright. Another photography who I am going to inspire by work by is Robert Mapplethorpe I like his work because he uses just plain black backgrounds and just objects in his work for example plnats with a black background, I think this is different from the other nature artists and that’s why am going to use this.

Imogen Cummingham

Imogen Cummingham Information. Imogen Cunningham was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She began her photographic studies at the University of Washington and went on to become one of photography's early pioneers and commenced what became one of the longest photographic careers in the history of the medium. Her refreshing, yet formal and sensitive floral images ultimately became her most acclaimed images. Imogen established the Imogen Cunningham Trust to manage her archives after her death. The Trust provides estate stamped prints for exhibition and sale. All of the Trust prints that we offer were printed by Imogen's son Rondal Partridge

Tony Sweet

Tony Sweet Information. Tony Sweet is an American photographer, known for his widely published nature photography. Born: October 20, 1949 (age 65), Baltimore, Maryland, United States. “Tony is not only a great photographer, but also a great teacher. He created a positive learning environment that really helped me take some chances with my own art. The critiques were absolutely invaluable. I’d strongly recommend his workshops to anyone hoping to grow as a photographer.” This is what someone said on Tony Sweet site too look threw the site it is

Robert Mapplethorpe

Robert Mapplethorpe Information. American artist Robert Mapplethorpe pushed the boundaries of photography in both his subject choice and technique. This has led to him often being remembered exclusively for his controversial and often explicit images. However, ARTIST ROOMS outstanding collection of his photographs allows these ‘controversial’ works to be considered in the context of his entire oeuvre. Mapplethorpe became famous, not to say, notorious, in the 1970s and 1980s for his photographs of the male nude and sexually explicit gay imagery. With these images he tested the right to individual freedom - they were not meant to be titillating, shocking or obscene, His work therefore holds a significant place in the history of artistic struggle to depict the world as it is with honesty and truth.
