Deleting Comment To delete your comment, click the garbage can in the upper right hand corner of the comment box.

Why comment? Commenting is a nice feature to use with drafts. Teachers can save paper by having students send rough drafts in Google Docs. Students can then use the comments to revise their drafts. Deleting comments only after they have revised using the teacher’s comments provides a nice way to double check that they have done everything that was asked. This can also be used in group assignments, office work that has to be edited by multiple people, and numerous other situations. Go Green! Use Google Docs instead of printing multiple copies of drafts.

Why use Powerpoint on Google Docs? This is a nice feature for those of us who don’t have Powerpoint on our computers at home or school. It is very similar to Microsoft Powerpoint and can be shared and edited in Google Docs. Very nice for group presentations. You’ll never have to worry about a broken or lost jump drive.

Templates To access templates in Google Docs, click on “Search Templates” or “Browse Template Gallery” from the homepage. Here your find templates for resumes, memos, calendars, and more! These can all be saved, shared, and downloaded to your hard drive as Word documents or pdf documents.

Using a Template Find a template you like and click “use this template.”

Upload Documents Click “Upload.”

Upload Documents 1.Click “Select Files to Upload.” 2.Then find the document on your computer. 3.Start Upload.

Don’t Be Afraid to Play Google Docs does auto-save often, so if you are going to play, do it on a document that is not shared with anyone. Otherwise, have fun with it. There are a lot of features that we haven’t touched on.
