© Jennifer T. Bernhard, 2010 Is Any Expertise Enough? In Support of Workforce Development with a Vision Prof. Jennifer T. Bernhard ECE Department, University of Illinois Is just having more graduates in M&S enough, or are there specific critical sub-disciplines that need special attention to maintain advantage and/or promote growth? What is the vision of the M&S future? What are the critical skills and approaches that the country should support explicitly to fulfill this vision? Where is the leadership who can enable this vision? As the M&S workforce ages and declines in numbers without replacement, is this simply the “market” working?
