18A1 18 A3 Last week 3 chambers were installed by me, Gianni B., Fabrizio, Marco and Alessandro C. on row 18 of Access Front: 18A1 (gem), 18A2 (gem), 18A3 (R2). Three main difficulties: 1.Positioning and cable connection of the gem 18A1: the space between RICH and M1 is tight.; 2.Connection of the gem 18A2: this gem has the connectors in front of the wall; 3.The final part of the gem cables are not flexible due to the presence of the plastic tube covering the labels. Things to do for the central part cabling and installation chambers Arrange cables and install chambers should be done at the same time: The wall should be in open position for at least 7-8 working days per quadrant for 2 people (installation + cabling); GEM gas pipes, on chamber, are actually too long; Table of the chamber position (X and Y): reference on the Al bar; A tool for the installation of the GEM 18A1 (not easy to reach): Marco Pistilli is working on this; Upper and bottom balconies installed; The cables of the GEM must be more flexible, it means that the transparent tube to protect the labels should be removed and shifted back; Other tasks: 8 HV cables (connecting the R2 chambers) have the piece of cable between the two connectors, too short; Install the LV GEM cables.
