Editing: John Colter, Explorer(Collect for a grade) Capitalization- 9 Apostrophe- 4 Commas- 2 Periods- 1 Question Mark- 1 Spelling- 1

Dear Mrs. LaRue Good readers use questioning before, during, and after reading. We will use questions to help us better understand the text we are reading BEFORE: Where is the dog? Why do you think he is there? What has he done to have to go? Why is he reading 50 Great Escapes?

AFTER: Write the answers to these questions on a piece of notebook paper. How is he going to escape? Where is he going? Dear Mrs. LaRue

Lariat Ledger We will complete this assignment as a class. We will be using text evidence to prove our answers. Highlight/Underline the text from the passage and write the question number it answers. Write the paragraph number beside each answer.

“The Allenwood Daily News” You will be using what you have learned and practiced on proving your answer by using text evidence. This is an INDIVIDUAL assignment! Read the passage and answer the questions proving your answers based on the text. Underline/highlight the answer in the text. Write the paragraph number out beside each question as you answer it.
