GCSE Biology Roots and Shoots Exploring the action of auxins on the growth of roots and shoots.

GCSE Biology Plant hormones called auxins are produced at the tips of roots and shoots. They are then distributed on the underside if gravity or light are acting upon them. In the shoots auxins stimulate growth. In the roots auxins inhibit growth.

GCSE Biology In each of the following scenarios you need to complete the following: Decide on the behaviour of auxins (plant hormones that stimulate or inhibit growth). Place the hormones in the correct location on the shoot or root. Draw what you would think the outcome would be in each case.
