MEASUREMENT NOTES

 Graduated cylinder measures VOLUME  Volume is how much space an object takes up  Volume is measured in milliliters (mL)

 Spring Scale measures WEIGHT  Weight is a measure of the amount of gravity on an object  Weight is measured in Newtons (N)

 Triple Beam Balance measures MASS  Mass is how much matter is in an object  Mass is measured in grams

 Thermometer measure heat  Temperature is measured in degrees Celsius

 Meter Stick measures DISTANCE  Distance is how much space is between two points  Distance is measured in meters (m).
