Dienonycus Dienonycus was one of the most famous dromaeosaurs. Dienonycus was about 13 feet long, and about 6 feet tall, about as tall as an average man! Dienonycus hunted in packs of 5 or more. Dienonycus, like all Dromaeosaurs, had a Giant 3 rd sickle like talon on its foot that can fold in and out for a lethal weapon.
Velociraptor Velociraptor was the fastest and most famous of all dromeaosaurs, and could run at about 25 miles per hour Velociraptor was 6-7 feet long and 3 feet high, but don’t be fooled by its size, because it was one deadly animal! Velociraptor also hunted in packs of at least 4, and mainly hunted Protoceratops, which was the same size. Velociraptor was closely related to dienonycus. Protoceratops Velociraptor
Utahraptor Utahraptor was the biggest dromaeosaur of all time! It was about 21 feet long, and 9 feet high. Obviously because of its name, it only lived in Utah. Utahraptor was able to run up to 20 miles per hour! Utahraptor, like all dromaeosaurs, had a narrow Skull for gripping prey better.
Troodon Troodon was 6-11 feet long and 4 feet tall. Troodon was the smartest dinosaur of all time! Troodon tended to be in much larger herds than most dromaeosaurs, having about 11 or 12 individuals.
Microraptor Microraptor was the smallest dromaeosaur, in fact, he was one of the smallest dinosaurs, only about 30 inches long, ant 1 foot tall! Despite microraptor’s feathers, it could not fly. Scientists still don’t know what color microraptor’s feathers was, but the think they were green and orange. Microraptor was tiny, but its teeth and claws were strong enough to kill a person!
Ovaraptor Ovaraptor was probably the strangest looking dromaeosaur. Ovaraptor means: egg robber, because Ovaraptor would sometimes steal other dinosaur’s eggs and eat them. Ovaraptor was 5-6 feet long, and 3 feet long. Scientists still don’t know exactly whyOvaraptor has that weird crest on its head, but thy think it attracted mates.
Dromaeosaurus Dromaeosaurs was named after this dinosaur because it was the first dromaeosaur discovered. Dromaeosaurus was 10 feet long, and 41/2 feet long. Dromaeosaurus hunted in smaller packs of only 2 or 3.
