Noun 100

Tells who or what the sentence is about.

Subject 200

A sentence that has two or more simple sentences joined together.

Compound Sentence 300

The step in the writing process where you fix misspelled words, sentence problems, and address any grammatical problems.

Edit 400

The sentence in the beginning of an essay that tells what the essay is about.

Thesis Statement 500

A word that expresses an action, a condition, or a state of being.

Verb 100

The step in the writing process in which you begin thinking, writing down ideas, and placing them in order.
