ETHICAL ISSUES Arise when the impact of the use of ICT by one of the stakeholders in the ICT context is responsible for ‘harm’ to another stakeholder. LEGAL ISSUES Arise when the design or implementation of ICT, or an action of one of the stakeholders in the ICT context, confl icts with a law enacted by the government. For example, the impact of e-waste, and the increase in energy generation required to run the many ICT appliances constitutes a potential environmental issue. “We change our gadgets almost as often as we buy new clothes. Every time a new upgrade comes out, we throw our old gadgets away and buy a new one” -Aynonymous
