Roman Empire Religion and Contributions

Impact of the early Church of Rome The church became an example of moral authority. Loyalty to the church became more important than loyalty to the Emperor. Church became the unifying force of Western Europe.

Conquests and Trade Spread Roman culture. Provided technological achievements. Western Civilization was influenced by the cultural achievements of Rome.

Contributions of Ancient Rome Art/Architecture: Pantheon, Colosseum, Forum. Technology: Roads, aqueducts, Roman arches.
