One of the major focus’ of my paper was how the events in Dai Sijie’s life changed him and how that applies to the characters in the book. “I would most certainly have opted for the story of a Chinese or North Korean film, or even an Albanian one, had I not tasted the forbidden fruit of Four-Eye’s secret suitcase.” - The Narrator from Balzac One of the major focus’ of my paper was how the events in Dai Sijie’s life changed him and how that applies to the characters in the book. “I would most certainly have opted for the story of a Chinese or North Korean film, or even an Albanian one, had I not tasted the forbidden fruit of Four-Eye’s secret suitcase.” - The Narrator from Balzac Objective: To develop an appreciation for the capacity of writing to change oneself and the world. College Writing Objectives “A more sophisticated writing process - including invention, peer responding, revising and editing - that results in a clear, effective, well edited public piece” I feel like this project really did help me realize how many steps go into writing well. “A more sophisticated understanding of the relationship of purpose, audience, and voice, and an awareness that writing expectations and conventions vary within the academy and in professional and public discourse.” A major focus of the project was how to write for the intended audience. Since my audience was the College Writing class I kept my writing clear and simple. “A more sophisticated writing process - including invention, peer responding, revising and editing - that results in a clear, effective, well edited public piece” I feel like this project really did help me realize how many steps go into writing well. “A more sophisticated understanding of the relationship of purpose, audience, and voice, and an awareness that writing expectations and conventions vary within the academy and in professional and public discourse.” A major focus of the project was how to write for the intended audience.
