Uses BBBBoron is obtained by heating borax with carbon. IIIIt is used in pyrotechnics and flares for the green color. IIIIt has also been used as an ignition source. BBBBoron-10 is a good absorber of neutrons and is used in control rods of nuclear reactors.
Facts Boron’s melting point is 2075° C It’s boiling point is 4000° C Only diamond is harder than boron carbide. Boron can be found in foods like pears, apples, nuts, and wine.
