Concept Create a very well modeled and detailed paintball gun with complete animation showing the firing of a paintball and all of the mechanisms involved.

Challenges We took considerable time to make sure that our parts do not intersect or overlap each other. The cam of the triggers and components required reworking a few pieces once we saw how a cam was supposed to work. Creating custom fit pieces to modify the gun. Importance of detail due to ergonomics.

Assembly Animations Assembly

Mechanisms Trigger Small motion of the trigger translates into a release of several components to act as a firing motion

Mechanisms Trigger Complex Connections and Animation Hidden Parts used to simulate Springs

Firing Animation Firing Mechanisms Firing of the gun using the different complex connections.

Paintball Animation Paintball entering the chamber. Firing of the paintball.

Mechanisms Scope Wanted to make the scope lens adjustable to simulate a zoom. Small Gears were created to move an internal lens back and forth.

Mechanisms Bipod & Buttend Both were created to give the gun another “custom” touch. Both are made to collapse and adjust to various heights and lengths

Custom Animations An advanced animation of the “custom” pieces being added and fitted to the gun.
