Copyright © Six Sigma Academy International LLC All Rights Reserved Project Filters Pg 1 Project Filtering A project Sponsor may have several project charters that need to be developed. A simple four block approach can be used to determine which project charters will be developed first. Once the Project Charters have been completed and submitted for approval by the Functional Steering Committee and the Executive Steering Committee, a ‘filtering’ approach will be used to determine which projects to accomplish first. This approach will prioritize projects based on agreed upon weighted factors.

One filter that seems to have lasted the test of time is the 2 X 2 matrix. The 2 X 2 matrix is one of the simplest approaches to applying resources… where will I get the biggest impact – Quickest. Ease of Completion Hard Easy Value Low- Hanging Fruit!
