INTRODUCCIÓN INTRODUCTION It is extremely important that a study of the book of Romans understand the book’s historical background.

INTRODUCCIÓN The objective of the lesson is to show the background in which the epistle to the Romans was written

I. MARCO HISTÓRICO From Corinth, on his third missionary trip he wrote the letters to the Romans. Acts 20:1–3. Some scholars set this around 57 A.D.

I. MARCO HISTÓRICO Paul was about to go to Jerusalem when he wrote this epistle, he carried offerings he had collected from the churches in Macedonia and Achaia. Romans 15:25-26

I. MARCO HISTÓRICO “ Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named...” Romans 15:20

I. MARCO HISTÓRICO “Purpose” Paul wanted to visit the church in Rome to strengthen the work there and introduce Christianity to Spain.

“ Your Faith” Expresses the broadest sense of loyalty, the new style of life which had been discovered in Christ

CONCLUSION Paul had an objective: to preach in new places. Wrote announcing his visits and his hope to preach in Spain
