The Book of Proverbs Chapter 3 Prov 3:19-20 The Power of Wisdom to Create is the Power of God’s Word in your Soul!

CHOKMAH – “Wisdom” is Bible doctrine; the thinking of Jesus Christ. Therefore, He thought and the worlds came into existence, Col 1:16-17.

Col 1:16, “For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all things have been created through Him and for Him.”

“Founded” - YASAD. “Founded, established, fixed.” The Lord God “founded” the earth - ERETS. Psa 24:2; Isa 48:13; 51:13

Psa 24:1-2, “The earth is the LORD’S, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it. For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.”

In Prov 8:22-31, “wisdom” was with Christ before, during and after His creative act.

“Understanding” - TEBUNAH, “insight, skill, understanding.” The believer can have the same power when His Word, Bible Doctrine, is resident within your soul.

“Established” – KUN, “to be firm, stable, or established.” This is the firm or solid foundation on which the heavens were created. “The mind of Christ.”

Isaiah 45:18, “For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (He is the God who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it a waste place, but formed it to be inhabited), “I am the LORD, and there is none else.”

“Founded” and “Established”, the firmness, stability, and permanence of the cosmos, relate to the gift of “long life” to the believer, depicted as a “tree of life”, when we have wisdom in our souls.

“Heavens” – SHAMAYIM: Two heavens in view, our atmosphere and the stellar universe, just as in Gen 1:1.

Gen 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

2 Cor 12:2, “I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a man was caught up to the third heaven.”

The stellar universe was created in an instant by the Lord Jesus Christ. Gen 1:1, 21; Psa 33:6; 115:15; 124:8; 134:3; John 1:3; Col 1:16-17; Heb 1:2-3.

He created the universe out of nothing. After Satan’s rebellion, Isa 14:12-14; Ezek 28:11-19, He restored it, this is Gen 1:1 and 1:2.

When God created the world, He used wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. If God used these as the power to create, then certainly we should use them as power to overcome in our everyday lives.

1. God the Father planned the restoration.

2. God the Son gave the commands to create and restore, Gen 1:21, 27; Col 1:16-17; Heb 1:2-3.

3. God the Holy Spirit executed God the Son’s commands to restore and create, Gen 1:2b-20.

Col 1:16, “For by Him (Jesus Christ) all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all things have been created through Him and for Him.”

This metaphor means prosperity under an agricultural economy. The source of this prosperity is the thinking of the Lord Jesus Christ.

As God’s building for our habitat has three components, the believer builds his house through the same virtues of “wisdom, understanding and knowledge”, Prov 24:3-4 cf. Psa 127:1.

Psa 127:1, “Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain.”

Grace Offering Heb 13:15, “Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
