Producing Dance Music 1.1 – You should produce a timeline showing a variety of different styles of popular dance music. You should include Bands/Artists from the 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s, 2000’s to present day

 In the 1970’s Disco and rock was a very big genre.  Grand Funk Railroad – Classic Rock – The Loca- Motion, I'm your captain are a few songs which the band grand funk railroads produced.  Average white band – Funk, R&B, Soul and Disco – Pick up the pieces, Cut the cake.  Wild Cherry – American Funk Rock – Play that funky music, I love my music.  Lynyrd Skynyrd – American Rock – Free bird, Simple man, Sweet home Alabama 

 1980s is when pop and dance started to emerge.  Queen – British Rock – Bohemian Rhapsody, We will rock you, The show must go on.  Soft Cell – synthpop – Say hello wave goodbye, Sex dwarf, Bedsitter  The Police - British Rock – Every breath you take, Don’t stand to close, Driven to tears  Wham – Pop, Post-disco, Dance-pop – Last Christmas, Carless whisper, Wake me up before you go 
