Project Proposal Alex Wysota VM

“Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.” - Victor Hugo

Context Music is an essential component throughout the world of electronic gaming **All images in this presentation were found using the Google Image Search engine

Context (cont.) In 2005, music transformed from just background noise with the creation of Guitar Hero Instead of creating ambience, music became a staple feature of the game

Context (cont.) Following the creation of Guitar Hero, similar games began to debut with their own takes on Red Octane and Harmonix’s original concept

Project Proposal For my project, I plan on making music the true focal point of the game The objective of the game is to get to the end of the level while avoiding any obstacles along the way

Project Proposal (cont.) What makes the game so unique is the interface and gameplay – i.e. obstacles can grow or shrink based on the rhythm of the track – First perspective will be utilized in order to provide an immersive experience in the visualization of sound in a 3D environment.
