number of data sets reported Are Spaniards less and less INSPIRE? NO, we are more and more rigorous
We have some unsolved questions about what we should report So we have carried out a survey between the members of the Executive Board of Spanish NSDI And the result is: 2015 M&R
Next year we are only going to report datasets with INSPIRE metadata
Total reporting 1431 With metadata 1022 With Metadata and catalogue 615 We are implementing the INSPIRE Catalogue of Spain (for feeding the INSPIRE Catalogue and the M&R)
In 2018 we are only going to report about dataset of the annexes I and II fulfilling INSPIRE requirements
In 2019 we are only going to report about dataset of the annex III fulfilling INSPIRE requirements
Only datasets covering (or planned) the whole territory of Spain will be reported
We don’t have a clear position. Perhaps, it depends on the theme Regional environmental agencies are in charge of protected sites. Unfortunately, not all of them have INSPIRE datasets but it is intended. In this case, we are going to report regional datasets. We think that an orthophoto of Madrid of 1921 should be reported but the distribution of an particular species in a particular area shouldn’t be reported
Inventory of Andalusian forest ranger houses Carob tree distribution in Extremadura Production areas of mollusks in Galicia
If there is a national dataset consists of several regional datasets only the national one will be reported
For instance, the Spanish National Plan for Land Observation Regional and national institutions involved, both funding and producing Each institution provides network services… But it is only one product Many other examples: street maps, environmental datasets, protected sites,…
Only one dataset will be reported although there would be several temporal versions
We have hundreds of temporal series related to meteorology Average annual potential evapotranspiration in Andalusia: Average annual potential evapotranspiration in Andalusia: Index annual average humidity in Andalusia: Index annual average humidity in Andalusia:
We have a full orthoimagery coverage of Spain each three years, but we are going to report a single dataset. The temporal attributes will be described in the metadata
A dataset is related only to a single INSPIRE theme
Topographic Database of Canary Islands One dataset One metadata Several INSPIRE themes One network service Topographic Database of Canary Islands Several datasets TN HY GN Several metadata Only one theme One or several network service
We are going to avoid to report about dataset related to a single type of spatial object
We are using M&R not only to report to INSPIRE but also to organize INSPIRE in Spain (including to define a business plan)
