Gypsies are people that move from place to place and do not have a real home. They were forced to live in rundown, dirty, and cold ghettos. Gypsies were one of the groups that were discriminated against in The Holocaust. The Nazis would trick the Gypsies and load them on trains, thinking they were just being resettled. It did not take long for the rumors to spread about the concentration camps and death camps in the Jewish ghettos. A very nice man that worked for one of the camps tried to save some of the Gypsy children but failed. His name was Adam Czerniakow. In the first six months of 1942, more than 60,000 Jews and Gypsies were relocated from the Lodz ghetto and gassed at Chelmno. When the final solution was going on, 1.5 million people died and children were not spared from the horrors that were The Holocaust. Hasday, Judy and M. Ed. The Holocaust. Hitler presented his plan for his final solution at a meeting held in the Berlin suburb of Wannsee January 20, He had a plan to put all the Jewish people on trains and send them on death marches. They sent them to camps so they could kill them in large numbers and as quickly as possible. The Nazis built extermination camps some examples are Chelmno, Belzec, and Treblinka. On February 2, 1942, 91 thousand German troops surrendered at Stalingrad but the SS still went ahead doing the final solution. On May 27,1942, the SS troops burned a small village to the ground and executed 30 hundred people in Czechs in Lidice. Also, executed 152 Jews in Berlin and moved 3,000 to a concentration camp in Poland. On June 6,1944, British, US troops and the help of a few other countries went to Germany and made the Nazi surrender. Jacobs Altman, Linda. The Holocaust, Hitler and Nazi Germany. Berkel Hieghts, NJ. The Nazis were a communist group and they formed a red army. The group was called “Fire Whisks” the symbol for earths creation or their group symbol, swastika. When the red revolution group was put down, Hitler became a nationalist. Also, when Hitler was making speeches to soldiers he was secretly spying on local political groups. A few years later, Hitler created the German Workers Party. Their goal was to create a master race that was pure. Hitler's deep hatred for the Jewish and others that includes homosexuals, communists and Gypsies. They also killed victims this is called genocide or it is the planning of killing an entire group of people or group. Robert, Jeremy. Adolf Hitler: a study of hate. New York, The Rosen print. They are fighting in WWII.

In Germany hakenkreus or “crooked cross” has been around for thousands of years. Swastika is a symbol in ancient cultures. The known symbol is commonly used more by volkisch groups and by the members of the free corps. Hitler researched for the correct version of the eagle to put on top of a swastika so that the Nazis could parade proudly. The swastika comes from the legends of ancient Rome. The Nazis would have an eagle stand on top of a swastika. Underneath was the local slogan. Lace, William W. The Nazis. San Diego, CA. Lucent books print. The Nazi symbol is the swastika.
