Innovative, interactive methods in education of foregin languages by Internet Experience of providing the project „E-course: german language in economics communication”

Target of Science and Technology Park of Szczecin The main target of Science and Technology Park of Szczecin is to support exchange of konwledge and technologies between RD sector and enterprises on the market.

Education activities of STPS Companies become an innovative when they have a high qualificated employees. Science and Technology Park of Szczecin improves competences of employees in areas of: - new technologies, - IT, - new professions, - foregin languages, - economy and marketing.

STPS forms of trainings - stationary, - joined (stationary and e-learning) trainings, - e-learning ( - mobile (e.g. in workplace)

Education in foregin languages areas A foregin languages knowledge improves emoployees qualifications, allowing to: implementation of innovations and solutions enlarging of trade cooperation integration in socioeconomic areas STPS provides project: „E-course: german language in economics communication” financed by Interreg IIIA The co-partner of project is TGZ Uckermark (Technology and Founders Centre of Region Uckermark)

Target and form of training The idea of E-course is to support the ability of Polish SME to cooperate with German companies Training is provided by Internet and it is aimed to SME owners and employees Managing of the training process is helded by e-learning platform (

The training is focused on providing business language of: 1.Business conversations and correspondence 2.Business contacts 3.Meeting: Wide business vocabulary, Differences between variety in business behaviour in other countries, Business negotiations Contents of training

Training includes: 16modules (interactive exercies, films, tests, games, simulations grammar information, documents layouts, homeworks) 32 business chats (2 students + 1 trainer), 32 on-line conversations (2 students + 1 trainer), 16 language foras, 8 checking tests.

Contents of training One week

Supporting elements of trainings: 1.International „couples of self-support” (Polish learning German and vice versa) 2. Meetings participants of training (Meeting in Schwedt of all groups) Supporting education forms

Summary E-learning advantages: - Discretion in choosing learning hours - Ability of learining during work - Permanent access to virtual book - Direct contact with trainer without leaving workplace/residence - Possibility of verification new language skills during conversations with trainer, student or german partner - Ability of monitoring the course by host Advantages & Disadvantages

Summary E-learning disadvantages: - Technological barriers (acces to Internet), - Lack of phisical contact e.g. eye contact with trainer - Very high level of self motivation Advantages & Disadvantages
