THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST FUN TRIPS IN THE WORLD! Sheikh Faisal’s Museum
Museum On Tuesday 19th of October :30AM, 5E and 5B went on a bus to get to the Museum, Sheikh Faisal has built a couple years ago. We went there because it was part of our UOI, our unit of inquiry was how evidence like puzzle pieces, help us reconstruct the past and it is connected to the old artifacts Sheikh Faisal has collected. When we got to the magnificent museum we stood in front of the main door and took a class picture, we waited till 5B would finish taking their class photo. Everyone was so excited, especially me.
First……….. First, we went in to the section that had all weaponry, everyone was amazed by the artifacts Sheikh Faisal had in the gallery. Everyone started taking photos, people were even sketching what they saw, we never imagined it like this. The weaponry hall was big so we didn’t want to go anywhere else, unfortunately we had to.
Next…….. Next, we went to the furniture place where they had a Qatari house. The Qatari house was amazing, and had everything like we have now, except things like laptops. The Qatari house was small in the past, I couldn’t imagine people living there. We went on through the hallway.
Soon……….. Soon, we got to the ceramics place. It had all kinds of pots, some of them were golden and textured, while others were brown and clear with no designs. Some of the pots were working pots and some were not. All pots were beautiful but some were really old and rusty, some were new and shiny. On the way to the pots section we saw Sheikh Faisal’s pictures and his car collection. They were clean and shiny and they were all old fashioned-black and white.
During……… During the middle of the trip, we stopped to have a little snack. After we finished eating, we went off to the Bedouins area where there were stuffed wolfs, dungeons and people with masks covering their faces.
Later………. Later on we got to see more of Sheikh Faisal’s cars, pictures and pots. Eventually we got to the fossils room, where they had all kinds of old fossils, including dinosaur bones. Everyone was in the room of fossils-but the room was a bit too small for two classes to fit in, so we didn’t stay long.
Finally…….. Finally we went on a bus that took us back to school and everyone started looking at the pictures they took in the museum. When we got to school, we just had a nice and relaxing day.
What I thought…….. I thought the day was really good and the artifacts were amazing. I still feel like going there again and never coming back!
